2010 Registration Rebate Program

The WWSO Board of Directors has decided to institute a new Registration Fee Rebate Program. All you need to do is to get someone who DID NOT play in our league during the 2009 season to sign up with our organization to play softball for the 2010 season and you will get back $20 per referral ($60 maximum)! It's that easy!

This will work in the following way:

  •  You refer to WWSO a friend/relative/associate/neighbor/classmate who hasn't played softball at WWSO in 2009.

  • That person registers for the 2010 Softball season and indicates that you referred them (there will be a place on the registration form).

  • Once registration ends and we are able to confirm all of the referrals, you will receive your REBATE CHECK for up to $60!

  • Feel free to refer as many people as possible. You will receive $20 per referral, up to a maximum of $60 (3 referrals).

  • If a new player puts more than one person on the referral form, only one of those people will be randomly selected for the rebate.

  • You must have played in the league last year (2009) to be eligible for the rebate.

  • You must be registered to play at WWSO for the 2010 season to be eligible for the rebate.

  • All eligible referrals must be registered by 2/1/2010 to be considered for the rebate.

Exclusions

  • This program does NOT apply to additional children in a family where a child already plays for WWSO (aka "siblings don't count")

  • This program does not apply to new girls playing in the Instructional Division (5-6-7). Most of these girls are new simply due to their age.

  • However, Instructional Division girls are eligible for the rebate if they refer someone to any of the older divisions.

WWSO reserves the right to close any unexpected loopholes. We can't think of everything.


Now forming a new Intramural Senior League (13-16 year olds)

The Warrington-Warwick Girl's Softball Board of Directors is trying to gauge interest in a new INTRAMURAL division for girls who are/will be too old to participate in our currently oldest division (the Majors). All girls with a birthdate in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 are eligible to play, so feel free to invite others to participate even if they have never played for Warrington-Warwick. You can even get a cash rebate for referring new players (see above).

 This is how we envision this league:

  • This is NOT a travel league (all skill levels are welcome)

  • The league will start games in April 2010

  • A fun, intramural league (it's for girls that want to continue to play softball at a less intense level)

  • We will follow Little League's Girls Senior League Softball Division rules

  • We will use a 60 foot diamond with a pitching distance of 40 feet

  • Games will be played at Barness or Dark Hollow fields (or other close-by fields)

We are doing this because we have already received some interest in an older division and we believe that we should do everything that we can for the girls that want to continue to play softball. Design The Logo (Win a $50 Gift Certificate) Contest

Situation
Currently, the Warrington-Warwick Softball Organization (WWSO) does not have a standard logo to put on our uniforms, letterhead, coffee mugs, etc. We have no recognizable symbol for our league.
Here is where you come in: our league is making some changes in how we operate and in how we look. It needs a piece of identity to go with its name: the WWSO needs a logo.


Objective
To create a logo for the Warrington-Warwick Softball Organization.

 

General Info

Submissions of qualifying nature will be voted on by the WWSO Board of Directors. Creativity, originality, aesthetics, and general coolness will all be used to measure the logo's merit. 


Logo Guidelines
Logos should include the phrase "WWSO" or “Warrington-Warwick” somewhere in the design. Beyond that, it's all up to you. Remember, the logo will appear on t-shirts and the like. So you should limit the number of colors in the logo to 1 or 2.
Use the internet to help you with any logo design questions. You should feel free to get together with your friends to create a team-created submission. 


Submissions
For all submissions please include your name(s), your preferred email address, and your home phone number. Computer-created Logos should be submitted in .jpeg file format and emailed to THIS (click here) address.

Rules
This contest is void where prohibited. All submissions become the shared property of artist and WWSO. Entries must be received by December 15, 2009. Any prizes awarded will be at the sole discretion of WWSO. The top entrant/team will receive one $50 gift certificate to the Regal Warrington movie theater and your design will appear on most WWSO merchandise thus making you the envy of all of your friends.

The entry must be your original design, and not a copy that may be subject to copyright laws. The winning logo may be slightly altered to allow for ease of printing.
